RECITAL WITH GILLES VONSATTEL, PIANO

Description

A new addition to the Festival, this intimate recital features acclaimed pianist Gilles Vonsattel performing Beethoven sonatas in a private Incline Village residence. Renowned for his extraordinary technique and expressive depth, Vonsattel has been presenting a multi-year complete Beethoven sonatas cycle, beginning in 2025 with Camerata Pacifica and continuing through the 2026–27 season with Music@Menlo and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. This program spans Beethoven’s early to heroic periods, from the expansive Sonata No. 4 in E-flat Major, Op. 7 “Grand”, to the hauntingly lyrical “Moonlight” Sonata, and the joyous “Waldstein” Sonata. With limited seating available, this exclusive performance offers a rare opportunity to experience these masterpieces up close.
