Ron & Maureen Ashley Oasis
Led by harpist Emmanuel Ceysson, this program highlights the harp’s remarkable range and color in intimate and luminous chamber selections. From the refined elegance of French Baroque gems by Couperin and Rameau, heard here on solo harp, the concert unfolds through Jean Cras’s richly textured Quintet and Cynthia Lee Wong’s evocative Shoreline, culminating in Ravel’s shimmering Introduction & Allegro, a masterpiece of a “mini harp concerto” that places the harp at the center of a kaleidoscope of sound.
